Razer Seiren Emote Review | USB RGB CONDENSER MICROPHONE
This is a multipurpose Hypercardioid Condenser Microphone which is aimed towards gamers, podcasters and streamers. This form of microphone provides better audio body and clarity compared to typical headphone microphones. Latest pricing here Amazon/Shopee/Lazada.
But this isn’t your typical Razer Seiren Microphone because it has fancy pansy LED effects to provide visual feedback for both you and your viewers. Think of think as upping your production value. It uses an 8 by 8 pixels led for the 8-bit retro style look and vibe. It can be customised a lot (best to see our video review to know more about the software).
The package comes included with the 1.8 meters long braided cable and two different size length mount or necks. Short one good for centre setup or podcast while the longer one has a neck the bend into different angles best use beside or in front of your gaming keyboard/mouse setup. The base of the microphone has a ball head to change the angle around slightly. Beside the micro-USB input port, there is headphone jack output so you can use your wired-IEMs or headphone via the microphone port rather from the PC case or back or the motherboard. You can control the headphone audio level (volume) on the Razer Seiren Emote knob as well.
The microphone is compatible with all major streaming software like Xsplit Broadcaster, OBS and Streamlabs OBS. To use the fancy 8-bit LED notification (or what Razer calls it, EMOTE) you do need to use a separate Razer software called the Razer Streamer Companion App alongside with the Razer Synapse software to get it running.
The EMOTE pop-ups are currently supported by Streamlabs’ and Twitch’s notification system at the moment. In the software, you can modify each stream alerts its and it corresponding Razer Emote LED effects, create your own custom alert emotes or import 8×8 GIFs and link to twitch or streamlabs alert.
